Uranus is a major character and a party member from the King of Demons scenario. He was a monk from the Kingdom of Lucrece who became a hermit after Hasshe abandoned his duty as the hero.

Profile

Appearance

Uranus has balding white hair and a short beard, and wears a long brown monk robe with black shoes. He is depicted carrying a blue staff with what seems to be a crescent moon on top.

Personality

In contrast to Hasshe, he is introduced as a calm person, despite being forgotten by the people of Lucrece. However, once the party calls out how similar his shield and the hermit's one is, he remembers his duty and gathers the courage to become a demon slayer once again. He is shown to be a caring person, and has shown to be very forgiving to the people of Lucrece, as he does not care about the glory of being a hero.

Background

Before The Lord of Dark

About thirty years prior to the story, he and Hasshe protected Lucretia by slaying the Demon King. However, he decided to live in a small cabin in Familia Village after Hasshe decided to live as an hermit once the people of Lucretia tossed him aside.

During The Lord of Dark

After Oersted and Streibough see Uranus' Hero Shield and notice that it's the same one as the one in the mountain hermit's cabin, they notice that he is the monk that helped Hasshe a long time ago. Taking up his shield and duty once more, he journeys with them to slay the Demon King once more after he convinces Hasshe to fight along. Once the Demon King is defeated and Devil's Peak caves in, Uranus and Oersted return to Lucrece as the only survivors. During the night, after Oersted is framed as a demon, Uranus helps him escape by holding back the guards. Oersted comes back later and is imprisoned, where he meets a nearly dead Uranus in jail who gives him hope and helps him escape with the last of his energy before passing away.

During the Dominion of Hate

He appears as a ghost in the Dungeon of Mind, where he laments how Oersted turned into a demon king, only saying "That fool..." in disappointment. In the 2022 version, he shows disappointment in the people of Lucrece for turning against Oersted and himself for not noticing Oersted's budding darkness before it was too late.

Strong and Weak points

Uranus starts with very strong techniques, he has various healing moves and area attacks. His role in the party is that of a white mage. However, for the time he's in the party, he a fairly powerful character whose healing techniques make up for his frailness.
