“Kids without parents or any other family end up here. Like me and Kaori. The matron and Taeko are pretty cool, and I appreciate what they've done for us...but man, I'm getting tired of being treated like a little kid.”
—Gameplay Tips, Bright Sparks Orphanage

Bright Sparks Orphanage (Chibikko House in the SFC fan translation) is a location in the Near Future chapter, The Outsider. It is the orphanage that takes care of all the abandoned children in the city.

Description

Akira and his sister Kaori both live in Bright Sparks Orphanage. The orphanage is run by an old woman known as the matron. Taeko, the caretaker, looks after the orphans, teaching them and doing their laundry. Lawless and Doc Tobei have also contributed to the orphanage. Amenities at Bright Sparks include a kitchen, a television, and a classroom.

Near the end of the chapter, Bright Sparks is attacked by the Crusaders and set on fire, in retaliation for Akira and Lawless's infiltration of the Tsukuba Research Facility. With the help of the Steel Titan, all the orphanage's occupants escape safely. Bright Sparks is later seen completely repaired.
