Earthen Heart Shifu/Gameplay
Strategy
The Earthen Heart Shifu begins The Successor knowing all the techniques of the Earthen Heart by default. This varied repertoire allows him to effortlessly dispatch the basic encounters in the first two thirds of the chapter. In particular, his high IQ/Special Attack results in Wise Fox's Grace dealing the most damage of all.
However, owing to his old age, the Shifu cannot level up, acquire new abilities, or increase his stats outside of equipment. As a result, the Shifu's chosen successor, whoever they may be, will eventually surpass him in potential. By the time the Shifu reaches the throne room of the Indomitable Fist, his successor will already have begun to outshine him. It is recommended at this point to transfer any strong equipment the shifu has to his successor, to prepare for not only the gauntlet ahead, but for the Dominion of Hate.
